A lot, actually! In addition to our podcast, tutorials, and webinars that provide free access to information on college admissions, we've created a scholarship exclusively for high school seniors and offer installment plans in addition to pay-what-you-can options for income eligible families.

Not only do we match you to a tutor or college admissions consultant based on your availability, we look at overall learning style, area of subject matter expertise, location, and a bunch of other things.

At Strive to Learn, we know that the best way to help students reach their goals is by building a personalized support system around them that cultivates self-confidence. Unlike other tutoring centers that treat students like a revolving door, we pair each student with an expert that oversees their educational journey. After all, we want every kid (and their parents) to feel empowered by education, which means that we take our time to cultivate mentorships with 1:1 sessions. And because our tutors and college admissions consultants understand their students deeply, we focus on building foundational skills that will continue to serve your child throughout their lifetime.

We offer tutoring in-home, at libraries/coffee shops, or in interactive 1-on-1 virtual sessions. We do not have a brick and mortar location. In-person sessions are only available in Southern California.

Our families choose whether they’d prefer in-person or online sessions. In-person is often at the student’s home but could also be at a library or coffee shop of their choosing. Online sessions are conducted via Zoom in a very personalized and interactive approach.

Text us at 949.873.6807 or you can always cancel your session by clicking on the cancellation button in your reminder email. But remember to cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled session time, otherwise you willl be charged for the session.

With in-person sessions, our tutors travel to your favorite study spot, be it your home, a nearby park, or even a local coffee shop. All you need to do is give us a call or text at 949.873.6807 so that we can match you to the right tutor and we'll set up the rest.

Accessing your online session is easy! You can either a) find your tutor's personalized zoom link listed in the directory below, or b) click on the hyperlink that is embedded in your reminder email. During your session, our tutors will save all of the materials that you work on together in your own google drive folder.

All of our tutors are well-trained in making online sessions just as personal and interactive as in-person sessions. We use digital writing tools to interact together with the student on a virtual whiteboard or directly on a pdf of their homework or study guide. Our cameras are always on, and we present ourselves professionally yet approachable. We often get to know our students’ pets, and might even have a dog, cat, or bird (yes, it’s true, her name is Butterscotch) who will check in on our student’s progress during a session. We’re here to teach, and you’re here to learn, and all that gets a lot more motivating when we engage beyond the material and foster true human connection - and we’ve been able to do this virtually with hundreds of students.
